Sesame Workshop Materials Help Families Affected by Incarceration
More than five million US children have experienced the incarceration of a parent, yet few resources exist to help these children understand and cope. A new study reports that materials developed by Sesame Workshop helped both children and their caregivers build resilience and maintain relationships with a parent in jail or prison. Cynthia Burnson, PhD, a senior researcher at NCCD, was a coauthor of the study. Read more about the Sesame Workshop materials and the study that supports their use here.
