Mass Incarceration: What YOU Can Do About It

February 23, 2021 | by Evident Change

Free and open to all, this webinar will encourage conversations that challenge mass incarceration and the adult justice system in the United States. The San Francisco Black-Jewish (and Allies) Unity Group, which is hosting the webinar, plans to present specific ways to advocate for alternative sentencing and rehabilitation instead of punishment for people convicted of crimes. Their goal is to motivate people to work toward changing the current justice system and prison industrial complex that has disproportionately harmed US communities of color.

Webinar speakers and panelists include the following.

  • Keith Wattley, Founder and Executive Director of UnCommon Law
  • Romarilyn Ralston, Program Director at Project Rebound
  • James King, State Campaigner, Ella Baker Center for Human Rights

Wattley also serves on the Institutional Review Board for Evident Change.

The webinar will take place on February 28 at 1:00 p.m. PT, and you can register here
