Kenisha E. Anthony Entered the Foster Care System When She Was 4 and Aged Out of It. Now She’s Working to Change It.
A difficult childhood in the foster care system couldn’t hold back Kenisha E. Anthony. She was a first-generation college graduate, received a master’s degree, and became a social worker. She recently wrote a book titled Labeled: Ward of the State, and she advocates for young adults in foster care—even creating a scholarship fund for them.
