Georgina Mendoza McDowell Talks Collaborative Policing Reform
Georgina Mendoza McDowell, a policing fellow at Evident Change, is featured in a new episode of the podcast Dastardly Cleverness in the Service of Good. She speaks to the growing support of collaborative police reform and how reform can be fair and effective when done in partnership with the community. Mendoza McDowell has more than 13 years’ experience in the field of youth violence prevention and is currently working with the Evident Change team charged with monitoring the Kern County [California] Sheriff’s Office. Previous experience includes serving as a member of the National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence and as a senior policy advisor at the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
