Evident Change Welcomes Michele Harper as New DEI Director
Michele D. Harper has joined Evident Change as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). In this leadership role, Harper will help to expand the work of our DEI team, support our DEI internal practice, and help us advance equity in our work with external partners.
Harper brings deep experience to Evident Change in developing and implementing strategies that promote cultural change. She also excels at collaborating with partners and team members, with a strong ability to build and sustain effective relationships.
Most recently Harper served as Director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Office of Race Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, where she provided overall guidance and support to collectively achieve race equity, diversity, and inclusion goals. Harper applied her knowledge of organizational change theory and practice to advance equity across the department, which employs more than 15,000 people.
Before taking on that role, Harper managed the MDHHS Leadership Development Division within the Office of Workforce Development and Training.
Along with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University, Harper holds certificates in cultural intelligence and diversity assessment and engagement.
