Kate Beier

Senior Program Specialist

Kate Beier, LMSW, assists child welfare agencies in their implementation of strengths-based, solution-focused social work skills. Kate also works to support the combination of safety-organized skills with the Structured Decision Making® system.

Prior to her current role, Kate worked as a medical social worker for the University of Rochester Medical Center and Golisano Children’s Hospital, Rochester, New York, spending time in both pediatric primary care and on an adult medical/surgical unit. Kate worked closely with local jurisdictions and community support agencies to address the health and welfare of children and families. Prior to this, Kate worked as an intensive case manager for children with emotional and mental health needs.  She has a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
