Emerson Ives is a program specialist with Evident Change, where his primary role is to collaborate with child welfare and adult protective service (APS) agencies to customize and implement Structured Decision Making systems that aim to ensure consistency, accuracy, equity, and utility in prevention practice.
Prior to joining Evident Change, Emerson worked as the professional development training supervisor for Milwaukee Child Protective Services. He has accumulated a wide range of child welfare and APS knowledge across states, in both rural and urban locations. Emerson has more than seven years’ experience working in the human services field, specifically in direct practice, training, and supervision. He is passionate about equity efforts and is experienced in developing diversity and inclusion projects across nonprofit, government, and academic settings. Emerson is a cum laude graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia and holds a degree in sociology with a minor in gender, sexuality, and women’s studies.
