Deajah Nunn is a youth advisor for Evident Change, where she researches and analyzes policies that affect current and former foster youth during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this role, Deajah has met with child welfare leaders and made recommendations to the California Department of Social Services. Her goal at Evident Change is to help youth achieve housing stability. Deajah recently earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a minor in sociology from California State University, East Bay. She draws on her lived experience as a foster youth to help other current and former foster youth understand and solve their problems. Nunn is very motivated to begin a career in advocacy for foster and other system-involved youth.
